Awww, a Cat

This is a picture of a cat we saw today at our villa. She wanted some food, so we gave her some. I couldn't help but feed her, she is so cute! I felt like going and patting her, but since she's a stray, I didn't.
There are a lot of stray cats in Crete, by the way, so it wasn't much of a surprise. I saw a few yesterday when we went to the shops, and they were definately strays.

I gave her some bread to eat and also a bit of bacon. I think she loved having some attention!

Later on after taking these photos, I saw her walk up to a tree and start sharpening her claws. How adorable!

Finally Arrived!

Yay! I have finally arrived in Europe. Absolutely hated that flight, though! It was  39-40 hours. Very long if you ask me. Anyway, we have arrived in Crete now, and are staying at a lovely villa:

 I think it is beautiful. It is such a nice temperature here, too. Just the right temperature for a walk down to the beach. The Souda Beach is a beautiful pebble beach with a little bit of sand and a creek running down to the Mediterranean Sea. I only went waist deep because I didn't have my swimmers on and it was so cold. Even though I only went that shallow, I still got the feeling of being in the sea, and being on holiday!

As I say goodbye to all the animals, I look over the river to have one last look at its beautiful water and the sunlight...

Time to Brush the Dogs!

 

Here I am brushing Jock, a Border Collie cross Kelpie.

This is a picture of me getting the dogs ready to be looked after when we're away. I washed them beforehand so that their fur goes all fluffy. Jock hates being washed, but he really hates being brushed!

Here I'm brushing Lucy, a Labrador Retriever

Lucy loves being brushed. Maybe it's because of all the fur I get off her when I do brush her! Sometimes I just sit and brush her for half an hour or more. But when I wash her she puts her ears back and stands there like it's the end of the world! In the mornings, we usually get a song from her until she gets her breakfast!

Countdown-8 days to go!

Woohoo! 8 days isn't very long! Only slightly more than a week! Leaving on the 28th (a Monday) and it is now the 20th. Eight days will fly as I'm waiting.

Countdown-9 days to go!

Yay, nine days to go! I will soon be over in Europe for an awesome holiday, and I am sure to enjoy it!

Countdown-10 days to go!

Only ten days to go! I am so excited. I am still packing, but now we have most of the animal food so they should be alright from now on. I am still looking forward to it, and I just can't wait!

Countdown-11 days to go!

One more day has passed! Still packing slowly and gathering all the food needed for all our animals. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is saying goodbye to all the animals. I wish they didn't have to be left behind... I guess I'll have to deal with it :) Still, I'm looking forward to going, even if I do have to say goodbye. I am getting more and more excited as the hours go by each day I wait. I hope I don't burst with all my excitement! Planes and airports aren't too far away!

Countdown-12 days to go!

In twelve days I will be on my way to Europe for a 14 week holiday. I will be going to many places and I am sure to have lots of fun.
The trip is now fast approaching! Looking forward to it and getting very excited. Getting prepared by sorting out the animals and packing my bags. I am sure that I will love it even though I have to sit on a boring plane for about 17 hours or so. 12 days will seem to fly as I get ready for my exciting time overseas.
